CHOCOLATE CHIP FEAST CAKE🍫

Published on 21 July 2019 at 18:03

Indulgent chocolate cake was a recipe that was missing on my blog. This is not a normal chocolate cake though, there are ripe bananas involved. Chocolate chips, pecans, hazelnuts and beautiful dark and Dutch cacao powder. When I went to the Warner Bros. Tour in London a few months ago they displayed a beautiful chocolate feast table and it was so beautiful and addictive to watch so there is where I got my inspiration from. This is even better because it is so simple and easy to follow and to make so let's get started!

This recipe is:

♡ Dairy-free

♡ Egg-free

♡ SO GOOD

Ingrediënts for a 20 cm cake:

◇ 1 cup + 1/4 cup of flour

◇ 1 tbsp cornstarch

◇ 1/2 cup of cacao powder

◇ 1 tsp of baking powder and soda

◇ pinch of salt

◇ 3 ripe bananas (keep one for garnish)

◇ 100 ml oat milk

◇ 75 ml melted coconut oil

◇ 1/2 cup organic coconut sugar

◇ 0,5 tsp rum extract

◇ 1 tsp cinnamon + cardamom powder

◇ juice of half a lemon

◇ 200 grams of chocolate chips (bake friendly)

Magical Method:

If you start baking a recipe, make sure you have all your ingredients ready up for grabs and weighed out. You will thank me later. Hahaha then start to add the dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl. In a smaller bowl mash your two bananas. Meanwhile melt some coconut oil in the pan.

Add the oil to the banana mash and the oat milk as well. Mix until combined and add to the dry ingredients. Last but not least at the lemon juice and chocolate chips.

Grease and line your baking tin and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until a skewer comes out clean from the middle. I put my oven at 180. Before baking add one sliced banana on top along with more chocolate chips. After baking let it completely cool in the tin. Serve with cinnamon whipped cream. Enjoy the magic!
