The Hippogriff a really proud magical creature. Always cleaning his feathers. And absolutely loves to chap away with his gorgeous beak. Buckbeak is one of my favorite magical creatures. First of all you have to gain his trust to even touch his face. I mean how amazing is that. So you have to bow and if he senses the good vibes on you, you are good to go. You can ride him now, said Hagrid. When the drums start of BUCKBEAK'S flight (soundtrack) it immediatly gets me into tears. So much freedom and happiness and all the magical feels.
So I am delighted to say that I have created a sweet indulgent and above all vegan candy that reminded me of Buckbeak. And I got a beautiful print from @theenchantmentbox, my stunning friend Christina. She brought me this mesmerizing print of Buckbeak when she visited me, here in the Netherlands. But enough chit chat let's get started with the recipe!
This fudge is:
π¦ Vegan
π¦ Indulgent
π¦ Dairy-free
π¦ Gluten-free
π¦ A really nice treat to share or give as a gift
Equipment:
RUBBER SPATULA
BROWNIE BAKING TIN
BAKING PAPER
For one batch:
π 3 cups of vegan white chocolate
π 1 plus half a can of condensed coconut milk (I used NatureCharm)
π 1 tsp of vanilla extract
π 2 tsp chinese five spice
π 3 tbsp shredded coconut + extra for dusting on top
π pinch of salt
π 0,5 tsp cinnamon and gingerbread spices
What goes on top? π₯₯
4 oreo biscuits crushed. Chopped hazelnuts for crunch. 1 tbsp of sesame seeds and the shredded coconut.
Magical Method
Make sure before you get started that you have everything ready to go:
Baking square tin lined with baking paper, ingredients weighed out and stove ready to rock and roll!
Take a medium sized pan with a double boiler underneath. Or how the French it. Au bain Marie. Make sure the water under your bowl is not touching the water and the water needs to be hot but not boiling. Then break up the chocolate and add to the bowl. Along with the condensed milk. Stir and let the chocolate melt into the milk. Take the bowl of the heat whenever everything is melted. Then you can add the spices and the vanilla.
Spread the mixture evenly over the baking tin with a rubber spatula and put in the toppings that are in the ingredients list on top.
Put the fudge in the freezer for 4 hours. Or in the fridge overnight when you have more time.
This recipe is so easy and incredibly rewarding to give or to enjoy yourself. Enjoy the magicπ§βοΈ
