NIFFLER TRUFFLES ⚜

Published on 12 September 2019 at 16:42

It's time to treat yourself my fellow Witches and Wizards! This recipe is all about the Niffler and shiny things. I came up with shiny chocolate truffles. They are really easy to make and intensely indulgent.

Yield: 24 truffles

Ingredients

⚜ 190 grams of dark chocolate

⚜ 56 grams of cocoa powder

⚜ 1 tsp vanilla extract

⚜ 1 tbsp agave syrup

⚜ 225 ml coconut milk (from a can)

⚜ sea salt

Optional: Vegan shiny sprinkles

Magical Method

Take a medium sized pan and heat your coconut milk on the stove. Do NOT let the milk boil. If the milk is too hot the chocolate will get grainy and you want a silky smooth finish. Take a heat proof bowl and add the chocolate. I used chocolate buttons they are easier to melt. Add the warm milk to the chocolate. Let that sit for 2 minutes without stirring. Let the heat do the work. After that time you can stir with a spatula.

Sieve the cocoa powder and add the salt and vanilla extract as well. Stir until everything is well combined. Cover the bowl with the lid or cling film and put it the fridge to set for at least 1 hour.

When the mixture has set, wet your hands a little and roll small little truffles. You can coat them in shiny sprinkles like mine or just with cocoa powder.

Variations:

💍 Try shredded coconut as a coating (then you have little bounty truffles

💍 Add pumpkin spice for the Ultimate Fall combo

💍 Add a splash of vegan Baileys or your favorite liquor for some kick

💍 Freezedried raspberries blended until dust so you have a fruity coating

💍 If you are a tea lover, coating the truffles in matcha powder is superbe

These truffles last 5 days in the fridge 🍫

Enjoy the magic!
